Akaash Khosla的Tre Kngs:时尚与艺术的碰撞

Akaash Khosla, is a fashion designer who grew up on the sandy beaches of California. He is the son of an Indian clothing manufacturer. Akaash spent most of his childhood in his parents office in the downtown Los Angeles fashion district scrummaging through fabrics and dyes. He took an early interest in art and painting and was always very visual.

He had two early role models, his Dad and his Sister, who’s avant-garde personal style influenced a lot of his future design choices. Growing up he watched his parents mass manufacture hundreds and thousands of different garments, which motivated him to change the way clothes were produced.

Tre Kngs brand is focused on creating a new space in the industry for those who reject mass production but don’t have accessibility to quality vintage or couture. Each piece is hand adorned to be 1 of 1. His first collection remasters American classics, with a twist of color and chaos, from brands such as Levis, Carhartt and CK. A simple white tank is instantly transformed into a wearable piece of art. Akaash’s vision extends past fashion, hoping to create pieces that evoke emotion through their handcrafted nature.

The location of the pictured shoot is on the Post Alexandre III bridge in Paris, set between the Champs-Elysees and the Eiffel Tower on the Seine river, the perfect backdrop to showcase the fusion of art and fashion. Throughout the course of one day, the Tre Kngs design team revolutionized the models. The lineup reveals all of the elements that have guided his aesthetic over the last two years. The creative director refers to the line as ‘beautiful items from a wardrobe’, which are designed to be worn again and again, transcending fashion trends: the adorned tank, edgy cargo pant, and worker jacket-all washed, painted, and distressed by the artist himself.
