About Us

Every day as I sat in class, I drifted off into space scribbling in my notebook. What I initially thought were tattoo designs, soon became the creation of my logo and the start of my identity.
A lost artist trying to find a way in this world. Like every dreamer, I was focusing on the future, learning from the lessons of my past, and getting lost in the present.
Our logo, the three-headed lion, represents the past, the present, and the future coming together harmoniously to create our life path. The Tre Kngs movement hopes to inspire people to never forget where they came from, who they represent now, and who they wish to become in the future. By wearing Tre Kngs not only do you join the Tre Kngs movement, but you become part of the family.

What kind of Brand is Tre Kngs:
Tre Kngs brings an artistic aspect to street wear, which we call “WEARABLE ART”. Wearable art is something that is unique and different. The idea behind this concept is that every article of clothing should be unique and individualized, while also feeling like you’re a part of the movement.
Each print or series of paintings on our pieces contain subtle details that make them special in their own way. I’ve always been fascinated with the phrase, “perfecting the imperfect,” which, in my mind, plays on an idea that most artists and designers hate. The idea that finished production and style need to be perfected. I believe that embracing mistakes and the aging process makes for a more unique style and way of living. I want to create an aesthetic for my brand where each garment, even though it might have the same concept and idea, is
slightly different than the one made before it or after it. My brand focuses on dying techs, unique fabrications, and the use of paints and embroideries in a hand-done artisanal way.

Furthermore, each garment being different means that each garment will age in a slightly different way as well.
The more you wear our pieces, the more the garment’s identity conforms with you, and becomes as unique as the individual who wears it over time. Although Tre Kngs resonates with individuality and uniqueness, the brand also takes on a symbol of leadership and unity. We decided to take the “i” out of "King" to represent unity and equality. Because although we all feel the need to stand out, what is most important at the end of the day, is coming together and changing the world together for the better.

What makes our brand standout from the rest?
What I think makes my vision unique is the pursuit of a classless high-end streetwear feeling where every piece has my individual touch.
My goal is to make “edgy” a more presentable look, while also making imperfections look like a finished work of art.
I want to be able to create clothing that you could look good wearing on the street casually but would also look good at an elegant evening event. Most brands have taken steps towards a classy streetwear look, but I feel like no one has been able to fully achieve it. Louis Vuitton and Vigil Abloh came close to a vision that I saw, but with his passing, they were never able to fully grasp it completely. My goal with Tre Kngs is to
have my own artistic take on the genre that Virgil left for all of us. His constant experimenting with materials, fonts, designs, and colors is what made his vision stand out, and those are the same aspects I hope to carry on with my brand.

What does wearable art means to us
Art, by definition, is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such
as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. I gravitate towards that last line as I view art as something that invokes
emotion. Art should conjure up memories and make you stop to savor the moment. Wearable art is the walking, breathing embodiment of that concept.
The idea came to me when I was driving home from work and noticed how nicely the colors of the sunset naturally blended with
the skyline. It felt like a painting, and I was compelled to paint it on a jacket so every one could see it. My goal with wearable art is to
make clothing feel more like art pieces. Pieces that catch your eye and make you stop and feel the emotion.

What kind of products we make
The type of product we hope to put out is something that is exclusive, unique, different, artsy/colorful, meaningful, and
conversational. We want to put out wearable art pieces that provoke conversation, thought or even emotion. When you
buy a piece and wear it should make you feel special and unique, and hopefully sparks a conversation with a stranger.

About Our Founder
Hi, my name is Akaash Khosla. I am a first-generation Indian American who grew up in Los Angeles, with a fashion-forward family. My main interests as a kid growing up though were basketball, art, and skating. Both my parents have been fashion designers since my youth and founded the brand Solitaire, which they’ve built from the ground up and is still running strong today.
Growing up, I wasn’t the most stylish kid. My uniform consist-ed of random T-shirts and basketball shorts and shoes with holes in every corner. It wasn’t because my parents couldn’t afford to get me nice clothes. I just didn’t really care. That all changed when I became a sneaker-head. I became obsessed
with the idea of collecting shoes, learning about their uniqueness and intrinsic value. Studying their history and functionality. It was truly my gateway to the focus and study
of clothing.

Even though I never met Virgil personally, I always saw him as a mentor. And one of my favorite sayings by him was, “if you can’t
afford what I’m selling, then go make it for yourself.” And that’s exactly what I did. I started making clothing for myself of a similar aesthetic to the best of my ability. Because who can afford to buy designer clothes as a starving college student? This passion evolved from making clothes for myself in my college apartment, to my
friends and family asking me to make clothing for them. People seemed to really love this idea of wearing something that was “1 of 1.” At this point, I knew I had something, and I had to build on it! After 4 long years of finding my aesthetic, working through various techniques, and creating a vision for the brand, I finally think it’s time to unveil TRE KNGS to the world
